She really should have been managed by anyone else but her gross father. She had a voice when young but it got completely destroyed and like most pretty blonde girls from the South, she never had to develop any intellect or personality. I think despite her success in that shoe brand, she never got over how much she was made fun of and had a "bimbo" image. She did love to sing. Even her untalented sister was better managed and had a successful album before her dumb ass got caught lip-syncing.

I think she needed a manager like Mathew Knowles who propelled Beyonce to stardom even if he micromanaged everything, he did his best to not throw her to the wolves. Also, Jessica really needed a vocal coach to learn a proper technique because she oversang and went off the rails a lot. Nick Lachey had better control in thier duets. But it was also the timing, the industry really wanted to make a Britney clone and Jessica was pushed to mimic Britney's awful vocal technique which didn't help her voice. I think maybe Jessica should have waited until at least 2002 or 2003 after getting more vocal training, the teen slut phase wore off and singer-songwriters who wore clothes gained more traction then. White girl soul music was getting big around then with Joss Stone and Jojo.

R67 dude. She’s always been like this. In interviews and all lol. Go watch old interviews of her. She’s very airheaded and naive but sweet. She had to be to have married Nick. He was not very nice to her.

In her memoir she states that he loved her but didn’t like her, if that makes sense, and he resented how the show made her music career take off but not his. She was benefiting from the show big time while he wasn’t. He became very resentful of her success.

I have always found her unattractive.

Plain/small eyes, huge nose, wide jaw, protruding chin with a cleft in it, elf ears, wide mouth, fish lips, crooked and buck teeth which are too big, orange skin, prominent eyebrow bones, big head, limbs too short for the torso, tits too big and saggy, out of proportion, short, fat, masculine face, etc.

R31/R57 the scent Fancy Nights is beloved and rather well-respected as a cult hit by fans of fragrance, both by basics and by snobs. It does well in most markets and has done since release. It is praised as highly as certain expensive classic house fragrances.

She made a post on Instagram where beneath a video of herself in soft lighting singing along to some song. (I really dislike her voice so I didn’t watch the whole thing. I don’t know what song it is.) Underneath the video she wrote a blurb responding to the negative comments she has gotten since that ad. Basically reminding people that she is a human being and words hurt etc.

True enough and I get that a girl who has had to be so careful watching her weight is enjoying being skinny. I don’t even think she’s underweight necessarily, it’s just her face looks so strange. And her overall affect is off. She’s a public figure and people are going to comment on it.

Jessica was terrible because she never got a proper vocal training. She definitely had a powerful voice but it's still useless without training just like any instrument. And unlike her peer Beyonce who was similarly shouty and yodel-y at first, Jessica never got vocal training to control her voice and refine it. Beyonce got her vocal game together by the time of her debut in 2003 and pulled off ballads. While Jessica got worse and worse even mimicking Britney's baby voice in the early 2000s under corporate pressure. Her duets with Nick Lachey and Ashlee Simpson are hilariously bad.

She butchered A Whole New World, one of the best Disney songs ever.

It's funny how Britney, Christina and Jessica wanted to be the next Whitney so bad. But only Christina had the vocal chops to pull it off and proved it on Mickey Mouse Club with her cover "I Have Nothing." I think Jessica mentioned she auditioned for MMC but didn't get the final call. It be interesting if she did, she'd likely get the training that Britney and Christina got and wouldn't have been such an embarrassing performer. Jessica could have learned how to dance that would have helped her so much with the competition.

Here's Jessica's demo of "I Have Nothing". It's nowhere as good as Christina's by a long shot. But it was promising and showed potential a. Way better than Britney's off-key rendition which is ear-bleedingly bad (as much as Britney stans deny it). Jessica really could have been an excellent singer with the proper training.
