OP, if you're dealing with a show business narcissist, labels like 'straight' and 'gay' do not apply. The performer is attracted to the person who is giving him attention. The attention is all that matters.

R9, he’s not lip syncing there. But back in 2004, when he sang live, he did not sound like how he sounded on his albums. He sounded much more bright and nasally. I saw him live at the Tacoma Dome and live on TV, and I thought for sure he had a ghost singer on his album.
