I LOVE the property. The house? It's too large, and far too formal for my taste. It doesn't feel remotely like a home. I'd rather have a four bedroom, four and-a-half bath rustic cottage. Or the Martha's Vineyard farmhouse we recently discussed.

The house is beautiful. I don't get the white and cream EVERYWHERE. It looks more like Los Angeles than New Canaan. WASPS have never been afraid of having any color in their homes. The champagne colored chaises longues and that hideous sculpture make it look like entertainment people have infiltrated the neighborhood. Ghastly.

It's so dated, like somebody with money in the 1980's had it redone and it stayed that way. The metal patio furniture is a dead giveaway. Nobody buys that iron/steel outdoor furniture anymore. They buy teak. Beautiful place but no homey, bland and seems sad and dead.

I know where this is! I lived in Norwalk and my dad used to make Sunday beer runs(no beer on Sundays in CT back then) to Vista Market so we went by this house quite a bit.

The interior is so boring that I was sure we'd had this home posted before, but I don't believe we have. They call it "Hollywood elegance" in the description but it's just LA McMansion blandness. If the ceilings weren't so low I'd never have believed it was built before 1990.
