I buy it in the 60 ounce tubs.
| by Anonymous | reply 3 | October 28, 2022 4:37 AM |
I got the 22 ounce tub. I didn't see the 60 ounce.

Their tapioca and rice pudding not so much. Very little tapioca or rice in them.
| by Anonymous | reply 5 | October 28, 2022 4:39 AM |
I love chocolate pudding. The cups aren't big enough to satisfy, though.

I make my own rice pudding. Store bought never tastes good. I use the recipe in the Joy of Cooking. Easy.
| by Anonymous | reply 7 | October 28, 2022 4:44 AM |
This must be a new record. I didn't think the tedious "I make my own" troll would show up until 20 posts in.
| by Anonymous | reply 8 | October 28, 2022 4:47 AM |
Ok. l will show my way out.
Also, fuck yourselves
| by Anonymous | reply 9 | October 28, 2022 4:50 AM |
I like the chocolate pudding and I sprinkle a crumbled graham cracker in it.
| by Anonymous | reply 10 | October 28, 2022 4:50 AM |
I love butterscotch pudding but it's hard to find the cooked Jell-O version (usually all you see is the instant version, which ain't so great.) So I made it from scratch one day (Pioneer Woman recipe) and it was really good.
| by Anonymous | reply 11 | October 28, 2022 4:55 AM |
Is the Kozy Shack chocolate pudding better than the cooked (not instant) Jell-O pudding?
| by Anonymous | reply 12 | October 28, 2022 5:08 AM |
Yes, R12. So much better and so much easier.
| by Anonymous | reply 13 | October 28, 2022 5:13 AM |
But, you can't add vanilla ice cream to the hot pudding like you can with the cooked Jello pudding. Mmmmm.
| by Anonymous | reply 14 | October 28, 2022 5:16 AM |
R13, does the Kozy Shack have a skin, like the cooked chocolate Jell-O pudding?
R14, I like to eat the cooked Jell-O pudding cold.
| by Anonymous | reply 15 | October 28, 2022 5:21 AM |
I think the rice pudding is great. Tastes like what my mother used to make (she was a good cook). I add raisins. But yes, the chocolate pudding is good too.

I love it warmed up; it's heaven. Not crazy about their rice or tapioca unless I'm not feeling well, then it's comforting. Why no butterscotch?

I love the butterscotch pudding at Tommy Bahama restaurants. Here's their recipe. Is it accurate? Are they holding back? I don't know. I haven't tried it. At the restaurant, they serve it with chocolate syrup or ganache in the bottom of the cup. This recipe leaves it out.

I can't do butterscotch. Argh. Anything, but that.
| by Anonymous | reply 19 | October 28, 2022 6:23 AM |
I don't think I'd like rice pudding.
| by Anonymous | reply 20 | October 28, 2022 6:31 AM |
I’ve never had Kozy Shack, I can’t get over the name, I always stick to Jell-O.
| by Anonymous | reply 21 | October 28, 2022 7:26 AM |
What a stupid way to decide what to eat, R21.
| by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 28, 2022 7:28 AM |
Jeez, I’ll try it, I usually stick to name brands & thought KS was generic or store-owned.
| by Anonymous | reply 23 | October 28, 2022 7:30 AM |
If you don't like it, you could use it to finger paint.

No skin. All pudding.
| by Anonymous | reply 25 | October 28, 2022 1:58 PM |
I like the pudding skin on the cooked Jell-O.
| by Anonymous | reply 27 | October 28, 2022 7:01 PM |
I like it for a quick snack!
| by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 28, 2022 7:53 PM |
I don't know why but every time I see this Brandon stores I get sick to my stomach just seeing the container and logo.
| by Anonymous | reply 30 | October 28, 2022 8:30 PM |
The chocolate is really good. Reminds me of the Swiss Miss pudding cups I ate as a kid. I don’t think they make those anymore
| by Anonymous | reply 31 | October 28, 2022 8:40 PM |
I'll have to try the chocolate. I happen to love the tapioca, and like the rice pudding they make. Thanks for the heads up OP.

Damnnnnn you all…I am off carbs and salivating over these posts.
If I was not trying to keep fit, I would “bloat” some golden raisins in bourbon in a microwave and stir them into this rice pudding.
Butterscotch is delicious. I may try that Tommy Bahama recipe, and put a curse and a pox on the reader who posted it.

it can't hold a candle to Trader Joe's late, great Belgian Chocolate Pudding. Why they discontinued it, I'll never know. Very rich and delicious.
| by Anonymous | reply 34 | October 28, 2022 8:52 PM |
Cheesecake Factory now sells (in the supermarket) both a chocolate and a butterscotch/salted caramel pudding.
The chocolate pudding might as well be chocolate mousse. My liver hurt after a couple of spoonfuls - RICH!!!

R34, you made me think of Talenti’s Belgian Chocolate Gelato that I can no longer find. Just as well, says my ass

The Kozy Shack rice pudding is improved by a sprinkle of both nutmeg and cinnamon.

Gurl, they still make it. It appears they've removed the Little Swiss Miss.

Senor Rico Rice Pudding tastes more natural and like homemade, way better than Kozy Shack.
Senor Rico must also make Aldi's rice pudding because they taste the same.

I'm not so sure about Senor Rico. That's like the Fabuloso of Chocolate Pudding.

R33, I'm the one who posted the Tommy Bahama butterscotch pudding recipe. The one they serve at the restaurant is really good. I just looked at the ingredients more closely and, wow, it's rich. I would use chocolate syrup or ganache, as well, though. That's how they serve it at the restaurant.
That butterscotch pudding is about the only thing I really like at that restaurant. They serve this piña colada cake as well, but I've never tried it. I always want the butterscotch pudding.
