Actually, it was a young guy who sold souvenirs at The Secret Garden during the time Howard replaced Many Patinkin in the show.

I can't imagine the horrors of being Gore Vidal's boyfriend. He was a good writer (although not nearly as brilliant as he would say he was), but as a human being he was just a steaming pile. I hope someone had the sense to stake him to the ground when he was buried.
