Someone posted a photo of her at the NAACP Image Awards to the binge eating thread and my eyes almost popped. She's bigger now than she's ever been.
How do you even physically manage to lift yourself out of a bed or a chair when you're this huge? Isn't NBC going to do something about this? not only can this not be good for health but soon she's going to be unable to move at all unless she's in one of those motorized carts. And she's their #1 star.

We had a nurse chime in on the Chrissy Metz continuation threads (can't remember which part) that she is likely about 500 lbs (and said nurse wasn't being snarky, just helping us figure out the dimensions.) Maybe she's padding around the middle or something because that shape is not natural. Yeah, she's got fat arms and a fat neck but as you move down you can see there is still some shape to her around the rib cage under her chest. Then, you hit a frickin' hot air balloon in the middle. I think they might be planning on killing her off. There were two scenes from the future that drew a lot of questions. One was of an older Toby in bed alone without his wedding ring and the other was where the mother is dying and Toby shows up with the kid (still pretty young) and they all are pleased but surprised that he is there. I didn't notice if he was wearing a ring. It might be that they divorce but then why isn't she there whilst her mother is dying? They had better kill her off with a weight-related issue, or they are deluded.

One of the doormen in my building is obese like this. When he’s off-duty he has to use a cane. Sleeps with a CPAP machine (something else that fat people do and don’t talk about) and is in constant pain. He is pretty much unable to do half his job, which includes hailing cabs and helping people load their bags into cars or bring groceries/parcels into the building. It takes him forever to walk a few steps. He’s in a union and a very nice man, so they can’t exactly fire him for being too fat. It doesn’t affect me, as I’m capable and prefer to do these things myself. But we have elderly and disabled residents and it’s a shitshow when they need his help.

I became close to co-worker at a foster services agency with a woman who was morbidly obese. Went on coffee breaks, the occasional conference, lunches etc. Eventually she revealed she had experienced she was the victim of horrible childhood abuse: the dad was a pastor by day, but sexually abused she and another sister by night. She married the first available guy to get the hell out of there. Of course food was her way to cope. I guess it wasn't always bad, but she said over time it became " an addiction". Whenever I saw her eat it was never *grotesque* , but it must have been at some times because she was well over 500 lbs. She admitted things that had to be hard to share and I never even really even thought of: like she needed to hire a house cleaner because she didn't have the stamina; she used the on-line ordering and pick-up service at her grocery store for the same reason; the last time she had taken a bath was as a kid because she couldn't fit in the tub. She really was a lovely person and a really fierce advocatevof the kids but eventually she had to cut back her hours drastically. The last I heard she was going to try an intense in-patient program for her over-eating/weight, but she panicked at the last minute- not so much about the weight but because of re-hashing the trauma. It was very sad.

Whatever glucose is needed for brain function can be synthesized from carbohydrates, and in the absence of them, protein. Reducing calorie intake is far more effective. I wouldn’t assume she’s not eating salad. She’s probably eating salad and a lot of other stuff too. Salads can be high calorie. The people on my 600 pound life are instructed to eat 1000 calories a day. They’re told go low carb and low fat, lean protein and vegetables.

She strikes me as the type to eat little during the day and then binge all night on junk food when no one is around. There was an article posted in another thread where she claimed to have lost 100 lbs on a 2000 calorie a day diet and walking, but obviously she didn't stick to it.
Her age is not her friend, all these people that are as heavy as her have major mobility issues by the time they reach 40.

It's amazing to me how *wrong* the fatties are about what we norms think of them and why. Trust me, there is absolutely zero jealousy or anything that remotely resembles it. Your weight is like a tattoo on your forehead that says: LUNATIC. You're lazy, you're self-indulgent, you're rage and envy filled, you lack accountability, you're dishonest, you're grotesque, you're infantile, you lack anything resembling self-respect and are thus incapable of affording respect to anyone else. The 'fat acceptance' movement is a direct parallel to the trans movement, in that its populated by mentally ill people who are in willful denial of reality and try to hold the rest of the world hostage to your delusions. This is what anyone who takes the time to look hard enough at you sees. And drenching yourself in perfume/cologne is not covering up the smell.

At my heaviest, I was 6 ft and 250 (not muscle). That was hell doing anything remotely strenuous. I look at people like the Metzes and I honestly don't know how they get out of bed.

Even the study linked doesn’t say every obese person is as a result of trauma or abuse, as was alleged.
In fact, the study merely cites these as risk factors and cannot explain why.

It’s obvious that fat people lack self control, and many of the poorer ones are completely ignorant about food/nutrition. What bothers me though isn’t the “selfish, laziness, self-loathing, blah, blah” - I couldn’t care less what people do behind closed doors. What I DO care about and what does bother me is the immense stress it puts on society as a whole, particularly our healthcare system. I’m as liberal as they come, but for taxpayers to pay for the health ramifications of their poor decision making is ridiculous.

She needs a 1200-calorie diet comprised of lean protein and leafy greens. Period. Her body will not shut down with a low-calorie diet—she isn’t running marathons. Her body has enough energy to fuel itself for a long time.
The reason morbidly obese people can lose 50-80 pounds in one month is that it takes a lot of calories just to make their basic body functions happen. There is no way that she is healthy at that weight.
And the idea that she is inspirational is ridiculous. That poor couch! Her poor shoes! The amount of fabric it takes to cover up her midsection! People look at her with the same odd mixture of horror and sympathy that made the Fat Lady in every circus and carnival a popular attraction. It’s like looking at the aftermath of an accident and wondering how the hell it happened.

The North American races/cultures with the most obesity have the highest childhood molestation stats. I won't name that race but it's obvious.

I was horribly abused emotionally by my parents and peers growing up. I was a real sissy. Now my greatest pleasure in life is sitting in front of the TV in the evening and eating an entire large pizza or an entire lemon meringue pie. Nothing else available to me could possibly compare. I'm not handsome or young and I've always had a boring personality. A walk in the woods, volunteering, exercising, hobbies...it's all bullshit.
Granted Chrissy is wealthy and popular which I'm certainly not but as they say food never lets you down.
