George acted batshit. Every time Ewan would say that their two male characters were lovers, George kept laughing off-screen. Ewan eventually said that he didn’t know what was so funny about two gay men. And George was basically, “It just is.”

I am not generally thought of as attractive, and he even cruised me in DC one Sunday when we were both looking at condos, and we followed each other from open house to open house.

It became very obvious. And I am not under any delusions about my ability to attract men off the street or how young I looked. (Though it was over 30 years ago.)

The bigger problem with the interview that it made Americans look bad. It’s like when Katie Couric spoke over Bjork’s performance at the Olympics making fun of her during it. These people act like bad American stereotypes making the country appear stupid and everyone uncultured. These are the journalists that Americans supposedly hold in high esteem - our best, and they act like children. Ewan, not being American and having to call out these supposed professional journalists, was no doubt picked up internationally. It was just embarrassing. The guest had to put professional journalists in their place, one that worked for the Clinton administration. He was both dumbfounded and embarrassed on their behalf.
