Getting aroused when wrestling

Writer Robert Spencer

Is it true that wrestling teammates will circle jerk before a match in order to reduce their arousal during a match? If so, do the coaches condone this or look the other way?

by Anonymousreply 32March 7, 2020 8:24 PM

Yes, it's true, OP. and the coaches join in.

by Anonymousreply 1December 25, 2012 10:29 AM

And when the AV club joins in, it's HOT!

by Anonymousreply 2December 25, 2012 10:31 AM

False. The last thing you want to do before a match is jerk off. You want to save your strength, your drive. Blow jobs and butt fucking come later.

by Anonymousreply 3December 25, 2012 10:35 AM

We save it for the showers after the matches, OP. All that spunk and muscle!

by Anonymousreply 4December 25, 2012 12:24 PM

I heard pro football players refrain from any sexual activity before a game in order to keep their aggression.

by Anonymousreply 5December 26, 2012 2:35 AM

Tim Tebow refrains from all sexual activity but it hasn't helped his game.

by Anonymousreply 6December 26, 2012 4:06 AM

I dated a pro-rugger and they seemed to have a strange superstition that having sex, any sex, before a game was a jinx.

Only in your masturbatory fantasies, doll. Most wrestlers are straight and not aroused by wrestling other men.

by Anonymousreply 8December 26, 2012 4:48 AM

He also prays a lot, R6. How's that working out for him?

by Anonymousreply 10December 26, 2012 11:28 AM

[quote]Most wrestlers are straight

A fantasy.

by Anonymousreply 11December 26, 2012 3:06 PM

Total bullshit.

Everyone knows those humpy young wrestlers don't jack off before a match! They "edge" without cumming, so that they are all wound up with frustration and ready to get hard during the match. Then the wrestler with the bigger hardon rubs it against his opponent as they thrash around on the mat. The thrusting boner is a way of saying "Me Top, You Bottom".

I can't believe the inaccuracies that get posted on here sometimes.

This thread is useless without pictures.

by Anonymousreply 13December 26, 2012 3:22 PM

Ask Tommy Croooze. He loves wrestling.

by Anonymousreply 15December 28, 2012 6:03 PM

Some male dogs get boners when they wrestle and bite-fight with humans (of either sex). Which is weird, considering that the dick has to be relaxed in order to extend, and trying to sever the other party's jugular vein isn't normally part of foreplay for their species. Is there such a thing as "testosterone rush"?

by Anonymousreply 16December 28, 2012 6:12 PM

R8, i don't know what straight guy would want to do it. Seriously, wrestling is more gay than gay porn.

by Anonymousreply 17December 28, 2012 6:19 PM

I remember hearing one of the Olympic swimmers (Lochte, maybe?) saying that they're not supposed to engage in any sexual activity before their events.

by Anonymousreply 18December 28, 2012 6:20 PM

Some of them might jerk off, but why would they circle jerk? That seems extremely inconvenient, actually. Stranger things have happened, but it's probably not the norm...

by Anonymousreply 19December 28, 2012 6:25 PM

how long in advance, r18? One day? Two days? 12 hours?

LOL

I was on the wrestling team and you would NEVER get aroused while wrestling.

You have some guy on top of you trying to snuff the life out of you, all you can think about is trying to get him off'n you.

It's a gay fantasy. In real life it's the last thing you think about.

by Anonymousreply 22December 28, 2012 6:46 PM

I certainly get aroused watching wrestling.

by Anonymousreply 23December 28, 2012 6:59 PM

Oh yes, OP, that's totally true. But the coaches don't "look the other way", they join right in. In no time, everyone's clothes are off and the really hardcore stuff starts.

by Anonymousreply 24December 28, 2012 7:08 PM

"You have some guy on top of you trying to snuff the life out of you"

that sounds hot. Oh yeah, nothing gay about it!

by Anonymousreply 25December 28, 2012 7:45 PM

No. They don't have circle jerks. I wrestled in high school. Never happened.

And yes, even though some say it never happens, some dudes do get hard in a match. May not have happened to those saying it doesn't, but it does happen.

Happened to me a few times. Not a sexual thing really, just a male human body response to the sheer physicality of the whole thing. Friction, grabbing, mounting, dominance, sweating, grunting... I mean ya gotta admit, it IS one hella homoerotic sport. I've seen hardons happen to other wreatlers too. Nobody really paid any attention or said anything. It happens.

I've realized I'm bisexual now, but I kept my attraction to dudes to myself in high school.

The last thing I wanted was getting repeated bonera during wrestling and have to deal with that bs all throughout high school!

The teams do it before a match to tighten up their sphincters. The whole 'jam a thumb up his ass through the lycra' move has created a butthole crusade.

by Anonymousreply 28March 5, 2016 9:43 PM

No. The bandfags blow them before a match.

by Anonymousreply 29March 5, 2016 9:48 PM

I would think it would be intimidating to have someone with a boner rubbing up against me in a public wrestling match.

by Anonymousreply 30March 6, 2016 1:29 AM

I was a state champion wrestler in my youth (during mid- through late-'80s). It was the reason none of the jock assholes at my school ever tried to bully me, even after word got out that I might be gay.

No one ever circle-jerked (or even got aroused, that I was aware of). Maybe they jerked off afterward, on their own time at home. I know I did that all the time.
