I don't know anyone who is anti-gay in the entertainment industry that BW adored.

I hadn't a clue that she was a Lesbian but it does make sense. She didn't even do an "annulment" over a merkin or anything. Good for her.

She lived 70 years as an actual Christian Scientist and not a fake one like Joan Crawford or Ginger Rogers. That's quite something else but it's a shame as well in a way. I wonder what she died of? Google says the cause was not made public because of her religion but that seems fishy.

R56 I thought everyone knew Valerie Harper wasn’t Jewish. Not a big secret. In her book she said that she based her Rhoda character on her Italian step mother and step aunts. I never found her believable as Jewish, too assimilated, no Jewish culture or ethnicity at all, but that’s more in the writing than anything else.
