Back in my late closeted days, up to the mid-80’s, I used to buy a j/o mag called First Hand. The stories were hot, but I also liked a lot of the illustrations. My favorite artist called himself Aries, whose real name was Harry Long, who excelled at beautiful black & white male nudes.

One I liked especially depicted a seated, nude, mustachioed man, his cace turned aside. I actually found what appeared to be the original of this, framed, in a porn shop on Hudson St. In the Village. They wanted $325 for it, which I just could not afford at the time. Now and then I still think about it.

I moved away in ‘87. A few years later, I found a few First Hands here and there, and noticed Aries’ illustrations disappeared around the mid-90’s. Given those Plague years, I’ve always suspected the worst. He’s not even mentioned on Google, under either name.

His work was awfully good.

There's an artist that signs as "Cris-Art." You used to be able to view the work on tumblr, but I think it's all been moved to the Deviant Art website.

Much of it involves the "Teddy Altman" and "Billy Kaplan" characters from Marvel Avengers.

Someone upthread mentioned Tagame - who is hit or miss for me. A lot of hot sex illustrations. The story arcs are sort of nuts, but I have to respect that he's put that much thought into it. The torture aspect is a turn off. I think basically all the sex is due to coercion or straight being forced, i.e., raped.

When I first discovered the internet after puberty, one of the first things I saw was a series called "Hottlead" by a guy called Michael Broderick, and I used to think those drawings (just black and white, pencil type ones) were pretty hot. Out of interest, I checked out some artwork after reading this thread, and I found some drawings I liked, only to remember why I don't look at erotic art much anymore. Most of the style isn't my type for a start but then you find something that looks good, look through some pics, thinking: "this is quite well done" and then BAM! you're like: "Oh shit, there's a dog in this picture", or "Ugh, whatever they claim in their disclaimer, that character does NOT look like they're meant to be over 18" and it just freaks me out. I get that drawings don't hurt anyone, but I really don't want to see that stuff.
