If it makes their heads explode, it’s because they haven’t been paying attention. Garth has always supported progressive causes. His half-sister was lesbian country singer Betsy Smittle, an outspoken LGBTQ+ advocate who passed away due to cancer in 2013. Garth has been very pro-LGBTQ. He may have performed at one of the Obama inaugurations.

I remember something about Toby Keith being a Democrat but he tried to mumble through his explanation - he's NOT a liberal, mind you, but basically identifies with the Democratic Party... oh I can't remember his words but a bit mealy mouthed. I imagine so, since he wants to keep selling out venues or however they make money these days in music.

Gartha played at one of President Bush's inaugurals, he played at one of President Obama's inaugurals and he said no to T**** citing "scheduling conflicts" at the time. (God, remember that tacky Donald inaugural? Cringeworthy.)

Not a fan but he's a good singer, supposed to put on a great live show. He said no to the Treason Weasel twice, and he's been a staunch ally of ours. Garth's all right.

I friggin love Garth Brooks. One of my favorite things he did was host SNL. He really was a good sport doing at least two very queer sketches: "Old French Whores"(featuring Garth in drag as one of the whores) and as an obsessed admirer of "Mango".
