I'm writing this on DL because if I wrote it on Str8Up, Zach would most likely delete my post and ban me from his website. Here goes...

1) Joey tweets about being a free agent due to poor management BEFORE the book tour has started, but after the book and tour has been announced. I keep wondering why. It couldn't have been for more money, since his per-scene rate was the highest at Helix (since Blake left). Maybe he felt angry that Helix or certain people within Helix weren't giving him the respect he craved/wanted or even expected. I think this has a lot to do with Deniz Bilgin getting into his head during their trip to Hawaii. "They should treat you better than they treat Kyle", "You're a star working for a sub-par studio", "They don't deserve a hottie like you"...

2) Despite his tweet declaring himself a free agent, Helix launched the book tour, and Joey, Angel, Cameron and Taylor made their way to NYC. For all intents and purposes, the book-specific events were successful (kudos to Cameron for managing all that). However, for some reason, Joey decided to block all Helix employees from Twitter, so Helix could not tag Joey in any tweets, thus limiting the online support they were able to provide.

3) After the book events, or in-between them, something happened in NYC. We'll never know what, but it was enough for Helix to cancel the remaining tour dates and for the meltdown we've seen on Twitter these past 36 hours as pro- and anti-Joey-ites took to their keyboards to declare their support for or against him. Meanwhile, Helix remained quiet except for a couple of tweets from Kyle.

Joey quits, but the book tour goes ahead. Something happens in NYC, Kyle gets dragged into the mess so he has to defend himself, and the book tour gets cancelled.

What happened in NYC? Well, we can speculate what three young twinks/porn models were up to in Manhattan. Parties? Drinks? Spending money that wasn't theirs? The reasons are endless.

Helix would not have cancelled the tour without a damn good reason. They have spent a lot of money in Joey and the book - why would they all of a sudden change their mind and throw it all away?

Keith Miller cancelled the Joey Mills book tour because of Joey Mills and his unprofessional behaviour in NYC. It's the only thing that makes any sense. He didn't do it cause Kyle was jealous of Joey's book sales. He didn't do it when Joey quit on him due to poor management (I would have cancelled it at that point but that's just me). He cancelled it because of Joey Mills.

It's quite unfortunate but I have to be honest and say when I found out Joey Mills was going to be a subject of one of the Rise Up novels, my first thought was "why him of all people?" There are so many other models deserving of a project like this. Why choose Joey Mills who, again in my opinion, is pure white trash. But they did, and in the end, despite the successful book sales, Helix got burned, and Kyle was dragged into it by Joey.

So now Joey's gone. As is Blake, who supports Joey. As is Angel, who supports Joey. As is Deniz Bilgin, who supports Joey. As is Julian Bell, who made a stupid decision. Will Cameron Parks be next, due to his tweet supporting Joey?
