I have some sympathy for the Enbies, as I'm about 50/50 masc/femee myself.

But the fact is that most of the young Enbies are doing it because they think that if they come out as Nonbinary they won't have to deal with sexism, homophobia, or sex-based societal expectations any more, and that just isn't true. Biological sex won't go away just because you find it inconvenient, and most people will behave according to their expectations of your biological sex, no matter what you identify as. Worse, these kids aren't even getting rid of their own internalized homophobia or sexism, in fact, some feel free go ahead and be sexist or homophobic, now that they see themselves as no longer male or female. It's really sad.

I’m gay, leaning towards asexual but really don’t need anyone speculating about my sexuality, nor a political platform for it. This is inflaming ego and has absolutely nothing to do with perpetuating human rights while there are still slaves and people incarcerated for trivial or nefarious purposes.

At the end of the day, replace all these gender designations with “soul”, “human”, or “spirit”.

It is not unreasonable to think in 50 year there will be a pill complimented with reversible procedures so that anyone could experience becoming the other sex for a weekend or a lifetime and the golden era and march of current science and technology will quickly render these laws and declarations archaic.

The Earth is choking, flooding on fire and dying. Can we table this discussion for awhile deal with deal with more pressing matters while we still can??
