I haven't watched any dramatizations yet, but from the little bit I've heard about the whole situation, it sounds like she wanted to be the next Steve Jobs and the smartest person in the room.

She was neither.

She is a typical Type A personality who was given an over inflated sense of her own intellect and talents by the people around her. If you want to see her personality type in action spend a month in Washington D.C.. There are so many like her working in government and politics. Usually they have some degree of competency but are nowhere near as bright as their narcissistic fantasies imagine. They tend to reach great heights anyway just by appearing to be smart and sucking up to those in power. But her type is much less common in the hard sciences. Usually these people are genuinely high IQ individuals. It's easy to fake being smart when you're working as a lobbyist, but eventually the house of cards will fall when you're in a profession that demands objective results.
