Do you feel sorry for Johnny Depp?!
Andrew Hansen
Hell no. He’s a schmuck and has gotten exactly what he deserves.

No. I was blown away when I read that his previous manager/financial advisor or whatever stole USD600m from him and he hardly noticed it. In what fucked up world can an actor, no matter how talented, become a near-billionaire? He had the world at his feet and blew it. He got what he deserved.
| by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 7, 2020 12:35 AM |
Ho. Both Depp and Heard are repulsive.
| by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 7, 2020 12:35 AM |
He was always an asshole. They just "Disneyfied" his persona while he was making movies for them.
But he was always a druggie, wrecking hotel rooms, and abusing his girlfriends, with delusions of being a rock star because being a movie star wasn't enough for his ego.

He's a disgusting drunken mess - he gets what he deserves
| by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 7, 2020 12:39 AM |
No, not really. He's got a guest appearance on Ryan Leone's (charismatic and hot 3-time California felon) album that will set his career right back on fire.

Who tf is Ryan Leone? Lourdes uncle?
| by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 7, 2020 12:44 AM |
Hardly anyone was aware of the story before he sued - It was in The Sun which is about as reliable as The Weekly World News was.

I kinda do. Not even sure why. Maybe because I loved Edward Scissorhands as a kid? Dumb reason, I know.
| by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 7, 2020 1:18 AM |
Why would I feel sorry for someone who beats his wives and girlfriends?
| by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 7, 2020 1:20 AM |
No, I don't feel sorry for him. He decided to surround himself with yes-men and this is what happened.
| by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 7, 2020 1:23 AM |
Because I was the real victim in the relationship r13. Nicole battered ME!
| by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 7, 2020 1:26 AM |
This lawsuit was stupid idea. He was ok career wise even after all those scandals, but he wanted to punish his ex even more. Now he is ruined. Stupid man.
| by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 7, 2020 1:46 AM |
No, not in the slightest. Why would I?
| by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 7, 2020 1:50 AM |
Why couldn’t he just dropped it and walked away. Give her some money and be done with it. But no we had to hear all the details about the crap in the bed. And he’s lost another movie franchise. He’s his own worst enemy.
| by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 7, 2020 1:52 AM |
R5 Sting’s accountant stole $3m from him and he didn’t notice until it was pointed out to him.
| by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 7, 2020 1:55 AM |
He had a fine ass in the jump street years but fame has been hard. I don't think he has been fuckable since, and outside of that, who cares?
| by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 7, 2020 1:55 AM |
I feel sorry for him because he's never really cleaned himself up - in more ways than one - once and for all, and keeps on trying to be a Peter Pan boy man after all these years and makes immature decisions about his clothes, movies, and lawsuits. He needs to stop channeling his 16 year old teenage boy and at least attempt to look and act age appropriate.
| by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 7, 2020 2:09 AM |
No. He had the world and pissed it away
| by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 7, 2020 2:17 AM |
Would you say he's DEAD TO US?
| by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 7, 2020 2:22 AM |
Nope, not one single fuck’n tear for that wife beater
| by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 7, 2020 2:37 AM |
He can't get the lady without the money.

He and Trump are similar creatures in my books
| by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 7, 2020 3:21 AM |
He needs a...lengthy rehab stay.

Nope cause there is no fool like a old fool.
| by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 7, 2020 4:15 AM |
He's such a dumbass. He paid her $7 million in a divorce settlement in exchange for her not talking about their marriage, then he goes and opens this all up. Then he tells the truth in court, "yes I hit my wife"
He must have some alcoholic brain damage, because he wants to appeal this case and he's suing her in America next year
He has to pay the legal fees of the tabloid too. And they always inflate them

The only think I feel sorry for Depp about is his extremely chaotic, abusive childhood in Kentucky. That set him up with inner instability and self-destructive tendencies. So the potential to crash and burn in the midst of success was always looming.
I do think that his vulnerability and woundedness served his acting when he was younger. It propelled him to stardom. And then, at some point he amassed so many millions of dollars, that there was no excuse in the world not to seek therapy and inner-healing. So then I can't even really feel sorry for him, because the wounds gave him acting chops, and the acting made him rich, and with money you can buy therapy and take time to truly heal. But he didn't want to ever do that.
Even having two children was not enough to inspire Depp to be a healthier, saner version of himself. And when the midlife crisis kicked in around 2012...really that was all she wrote. He's never come back from that.
The thing that gives me an aversion to Depp the most, is that he acts like he's really deep and really smart. But he's not. An intelligent, deep, thoughtful person would have grown and reflected by now. Certainly after becoming a father. Something.
But Johnny's ego and his bullshit rock star ideology has forbade him from ever sobering up and seeking truth.
Depp has been on a down trajectory for years. A midlife crisis has caused his once-beautiful outsides to reflect his diseased insides. The older he gets, the stupider, denser and uglier he becomes. And now, he has nothing left to live for, or to lose. He senses that death looms, and he's best days are behind him.

not really, he blew thru half a billion dollars on crap...

Do a deep dive into his antics with his "bestie" Hunter S. Thompson and you will go down a terrifying shit hole that is so depraved you won't believe it. We had a great thread on it several years ago but I'm too lazy to search for it now.

Spoiled, gross, wife beating over the hill drunk who thinks he’s a beat poet/rock star. He’s also best friends with Marilyn Manson which says it all.

I need to find that thread @R35

No. And you don't beat up a gold digger, you just divorce her.
| by Anonymous | reply 39 | November 7, 2020 5:55 AM |
I don't, but I think Amber Heard is worse than him and more deserving of the backlash he has received because of what went on between the two.

Why is she more deserving??

As far as I'm concerned, he still hasn't lived down the Rolling Stone article
[quote]“Thanks for coming,” says Depp. “This could be your Pulitzer.”

Narcissism plain and simple. A grown man in his 50's with 2 children. At some point Peter Pan needs to grow up.
| by Anonymous | reply 45 | November 8, 2020 7:48 PM |
His looks have gone to hell too. All the smoking and drinking came with a heavy price.
| by Anonymous | reply 46 | November 9, 2020 6:00 PM |
I wonder if Tim Burton will come to his aid. If he does it needs to be another black-and-white movie like Ed Wood. He won’t look as scary.
