I watched Valley Girl a few years ago and he was hot in that one, more so than Moonstruck. He exuded a geeky cool in Valley Girl that’s still very appealing almost 40 years later. His screen persona in those earlier roles in Raising Arizona and Moonstruck was probably the most real. It seems like that persona carried into midlife would result in the shit that Cage is facing now.
