John is a guest on Hasan Minhaj's (now defunct) show The Patriot Act. Halfway through the segment, Hasan announces they are going to play a game called "Truth or Text". It's a spin on truth or dare- the 'dare' is that Hasan can access John's phone and text anyone he wants.

Sometimes these games are rehearsed/the guest is briefed beforehand. Not this time. John is *visibly* anxious and repeatedly asks for assurances from Hasan that if he 'finds anything weird' he won't say anything. Eventually he hands it over because he's been put on the spot and knows that refusing would look even weirder. It's all in good fun right?!

Mulaney is so awkward in that clip. It’s fascinating that he ever made it in comedy. He doesn’t appear to think on his feet terribly well and he’s just so stiff.

Mulaney is terrible in interviews, you're right.

The clip kind of confirms what that friend of Annamarie's said in the big Page Six expose, that John would get on Tindr and message girls and get drunk and then later tell his friends he didn't remember if he hooked up with them or not. My guess is he almost always remembered, though.
