Jason Isaacs is still friends with Mel Gibson too. He was very sympathetic when that series of psychotic breakdowns took place.

I would love if he responded to a Guardian interviewer like that. Too many are inspired by the mode of interviewing that Lynn Barber popularised. Asking questions that the interviewee politely rebuffs, then more firmly rebuffs, then upon tersely being asked to move on writing about how shocked and woebegone they are, after all , they’re only doing their job and certainly wouldn’t it be Jake Gyllenhaal’s own fault for dating Taylor Swift in the first place thus forcing them to ask the question in the first place?

I’m so over it, and big props to Mr Danny Glover.
