Daniel Tosh is Back...

Writer Robert Guerrero

... with a podcast. I know he's not everyone's cuppa tea but I love him. HIs Comedy Central show (Tosh.0) was, imo, the most gay friendly (and hilariously homoerotic) show on TV for years. So I'm glad Daniel is back with something/anything.

Here's a delightful clip - not the actual podcast itself - ranting about Aaron Rodgers, proving Dan's still got it. [bold]Still cute, still snarky, still clever.[/bold]

If you don't know/don't care, apparently Rodgers has a beef with Jimmy Kimmel (huh?) and called Kimmel a pedophile because Kimmel made a joke about Rodger's being an anti-vax covid-conspiracy loon. Tosh doesn't imply Aaron Rogers being (maybe) a closeted gay but he does bring up Aaron's "love life." in a mocking way. Tosh also takes a dig at RFK jr saying he shouldn't be President because he has bad gaydar LoL

The chuckling you hear in the BG are the couple of off camera producers. It's weird if you don't know they're there.

On the general podcast Tosh doesn't interview his comedian friends or famous people* because everyone else does that. HIs first one he interviews his wife's (gay and cute) OBGYN. *he did interview gay hunk actor Luke Macfarlane on one because Daniel loves those cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies. Enjoy.

Crap. I forgot to post that this 'special' podcast version is only 8 1/2 minutes and is NOT an interview with Aaron Rodgers but merely an "open letter" to him.

Damn my drunk fat mind!

In other Tosh news. He got married in 2016 and has 2 kids. He lives in Malibu right on the beach because he's an avid surfer. Surfing since childhood in shitty-surf Florida, he loves California and has wanted to live there his whole life for the good surf. He calls his part of Malibu "Malibama" because it's got new-money trash combined with libertarian types who've lived out there before it was really developed.

Good for him. He knew his worth when Comedy Central would not pay up he left.

Apparently, R2, there was an executive shake up at CC or Viacom and they decided to take CC in "another direction generally" and sort of cancelled Tosh.0. But Daniel had already signed a multi-year contract so they had to pay him out the wazoo to NOT do his show.

He had to get some special lawyers/reps to hardline Viacom into his exit payout. He mentioned it in the beginning chat on one of the podcast eps. He got big money.

Thing is, then the "revamp" of Comedy Central never happened and now they just show sitcom reruns.

His boyish charm has worn off, and his humor has a sharper, harsher edge.

You know something? Millennials dislike Gen-X cynicism. Few tolerate it within their own ranks. Is Tosh still the exception to the rule?

Daniel, dear...you look unwell. Eat a meatball, fer crissakes.

Great tv ended when he went off the air.
