Costco has persimmon for $14.99
John Thompson
They usually have them this time of the year, $14.99 for 2lb, a bit more expensive than previous years, but it scanned $4.99 at checkout, so I went back grabbed 3 more bags 😛

Never mind persimmons, I haven’t seen any quince at all!

Yeah, I haven’t either.
Haven’t seen it in other grocery stores, though.

For all I ever heard about persimmons, when I finally had one, I was profoundly disappointed. It had next to no flavor and the texture of a mealy tomato. I guess I expected it to be less ripe. I'll try them again sometime.
I'd totally eat some Quince, though. They're sour and astringent...just like me!

Gotta be careful with those persimmons, man.

R4 there are different stages of "ripe" persimmons, once they reach the mango like "squeeze" soft, you can eat them, don't have be totally soft and mashy
