Colony vs Falling Skies
Daniel Martin
I love aliens, sci fi, and military adventures. I tried out Falling Skies but I found it to be too corny and teevee for my taste, although I liked the basic story and loved the aliens. I don’t mean to offend fans of the show, it’s just my perspective.
I’ve been seeing ads on social media for something called Colony on USA and it’s caught my eye. Is it like Falling Skies or is it a bit more serious cable drama style, which is my personal preference?
What do the gays say?

Boring as fuck and I'm a huge sci-fi fan. Instead of Falling Skies try Dark Skies. Someone has put up its short run on YouTube.

Haven't seen Falling Skies but I recently binge-watched Colony and enjoyed it. Josh Holloway as always is a treat to look at, and Sarah Wayne Callies' character is much more likeable than the one she portrayed on Walking Dead.
It's basically an allegory for Vichy France.

I'd take the older brother from falling skies also

I'm a big fan of Colony, it's a good mix of prestige drama with sci-fi elements. You barely actually see the aliens. It's a lot better than Falling Skies.

This is what I like about it and makes the aliens seem even more menacing. BTW was it ever explained why they're referred to as "Our Hosts?"
