Bryan Singer's Collapse is Complete --Atlantic article Part 3
Harper Scott
So I just went through this thread, being that I’ve not had an opportunity to do so last week.
I don’t know how to express stuff that I’m feeling right now. There is a post upthread, at R55, that points to accusations of paedophilia, made by Isaac Kappy.
I rented an apartment to Isaac some years back. I didn’t get to know him well, but from what I was able to ascertain, he seemed like a pretty normal, hipster dude, who was bitten by the Hollywood bug, & wanted to work in the industry, at whatever capacity. Nothing out of the ordinary, if you live in LA, because that’s what almost everyone who moves here wants to do.
There were no red flags pointing to what I witnessed by watching these YouTube videos for the first time, today. I’m also going to speculate that Kappy posts here, but I could be wrong.
Anyhow, what bothers me profoundly from what I interpreted from viewing these videos, is that Isaac, who I rented a unit to , and seemed completely normal at the time, always paid his rent on time, etc., actually truly believes the stuff he’s saying.
I don’t know if he was having a mental health crisis, or abusing drugs, or both, but it is obvious that he is not well.
That all being said, Isaac is not completely responsible for this particular zeitgeist appealing to him for the obvious reasons: if it’s due to mental illness or addiction, he is not responsible for the emergence of said mental illness, nor is he responsible for becoming addicted to substances that may lead up to addiction. No one has any way of knowing the outcomes for them, personally, when deciding to throw caution to the wind, and do a line at a party with some friends.
Either way, Isaac has probably experienced some abuse and trauma in his life. He feels powerless to resolve those issues, for whatever reasons, and he, just like millions of Americans who have gone in deep with the Q-Anon stuff, find this paedophilia fiction to be a way or an opportunity, for them to emerge as heroes, with purpose and meaning. It is almost as if these present day conspiracy theories, allow unfulfilled people to find meaningful work in the specialties of accusations and deception, rather than in truly charitable pursuits. The internet now caters to people who are all too lazy to get outside, and do real acts of kindness. Q-Anon tells them that their work is to expose the predators, right from their living rooms, without any real proof, or actual investigative work. So off to social media they go!
Of course, the other side of this could be that Isaac isn’t mentally unwell at all, and recognizing that Alex Jones won’t live forever, has decided to surreptitiously relieve Alex Jones of his duties, and is making a bold attempt to become the new face in chicanery and obfuscation.
There is a problem with abuse of power and exploitation in almost every system, and nook and cranny that one wants to dig into, as proven by the Catholic Church. But to get on YouTube, and accuse your friends of paedophilia, seems to be something that is happening because Isaac is not well, and is in a lot of mental anguish, & emotional pain. I also suspect that his friends suspected that Isaac had become obsessed with Q-Anon & Pizzagate, and decided to fuck with him, by telling him they were inviting him into their cabal. Unfortunately, Isaac actually believed it.
I hope he gets the help he needs. It angers me to see several people who were once close friends (not Isaac, though I am concerned for his mental well-being) completely fall for this Q-Anon stuff. It really is triggering a large swath of people into discussing this shit in social gatherings ad nauseum, as if it is all true, and factual.
Pizzagate and pedogate are the new UFO sightings and extraterrestrial probe. And though it is pretty funny to see people fall for this shit on the surface, it points to a profound abyss of a hardcore, Capitalistic society, chewing up those not able to stand up on their own two feet and thrive within that society, due to whatever vulnerabilities.
