Bridge Mix
Robert Spencer
I just mentioned bridge mix on another post last week...it was my favorite candy as a kid, and remains my favorite as an adult. Hard to find, sometimes.

I remember my mom going to the Sears or Montgomery Ward candy counter to get all nut bridge mix for my grandmother and dad at Christmas. It was a cruel trip as that was the only thing she’d buy while we stared with mouths watering at all the other candy. Can’t blame her since it was expensive and we were just as happy with a Hershey bar or M&Ms. Sometimes though she’d secretly buy some malted milk balls or fruit slices to stick in our stockings from “Santa.”

I love the See's candy bridge mix. It's usually prepackaged (8 oz.) and is on one of the shelves in the store. I haven't had it in a long time and think I will order some for Easter. Thanks for bringing this up!

Eating bridge mix is like playing Russian roulette. You might get something nice or you might get a raisin.

Or worse, one of those pieces with the sort of jelly filling.

I think it will be the charcuterie boards of 2021!

I hated those jelly filled chocolates as a kid, R6, but at 56, I miss them. Go figure.

Brachs? You probably think the year old Walmart chocolate you buy at Easter is a find
