Boney M founder and Milli Vanilli puppet master has died
Robert Spencer
It's a tragedy for me to see the dream is over.

Milli Vanilli sucked, but Boney M was NOT a puppet. He was a brilliant performance artist.

Er ist für mich gestorben!

Er ist für mich TOT!
Gestorben would mean "he died for me".

It's a tragedy for me to see Frank's life is over and I never will forget the songs he made.
Frank, I'm gonna miss you

They had double the amount of lip synchers in Boney M.

When I was at school a group of boys would sing "fuck the brown girl in the ring, tra la la la la" and I didn't know it was about anal sex.

Oops. Thanks R2. I meant Bobby Farrell. He had a hot ass, but died too young under mysterious circumstances because he was cursed by Rasputin, or so I have heard.

R3 is why Germans prefer to speak English to British and American tourists instead of “German.”

[quote]In 2022, Farian revealed he had undergone heart surgery and had a pig heart valve inserted, which he said saved his life.
I blame it on the rain.

Who will lip sync at his funeral?

R6 Only two of the female members actually sang on the recordings. The third member couldn't sing very well and she only occasionally sang backup. Bobby Farrell lipsynced to Frank Farian's voice.
Although there is a fully live performance of Rasputin where Bobby is actually singing and he was able to closely mimic Frank's voice. Why they didn't perform like that more often I'll never know.
Hopefully we can finally get proper expanded remasters of the Boney M. albums that collect the numerous edits and extended mixes of each and every song.

In between Boney M (two sang, two danced) and Milli Vanilli (neither sang, just danced) there was this atrocity, which answers the question 'what if Toto covered Led Zeppelin?'
This should have been tried at the Hague..

He was also responsible for La Bouche. He was a great songwriter.

wrong R4, "er ist fuer mich gestorben" can also mean "he is dead to me", in the sense of "I don't want to deal with him anymore".

Whack take: i think the milli vanilli stuff is brilliant pop. Farian was a genius in his own way.
