The court has a news blackout on the case. Canada threated that if NBC broadcast a segment of Dateline about the case, that NBC would lose its permission to be carried on Canadian cable providers. TV stations in the northern U.S. had to blackout about a minute of the program because it could be picked up over-the-air across the border.

What happened to Tammy and the two other young women was beyond brutal and it disgusting that her sister essentially “got away with murder” and is out living life in Quebec. I get that she was pretty and blonde, but did the prosecutors not notice her crazy eyes?

They wanted Paul Bernardo, that's why they made a deal with Karla. He was a serial rapist, but only killed with her. He later turned the videos to prove she was involved and was not just his victim. She had a good lawyer and yes, she got away with murder.

Yes, R7. It’s almost as if no one looked into that claim? Rug burn vs chemical burn would seem to be an easy differentiation. Plus, the burn was on the victim’a face (chemical rag placed over face to drug her), a fishy place to have it anyway.

Yes! I just googled it and they said she sustained a rug burn when they dragged her to a better-lit area to attempt to revive her.

It was dark purple and looked nothing like rug burn, plus they dragged her through the house on her face? Just crazy.

Welp, guess I’m never sleeping again.

I have a sister I adore, she’s my close friend as well as favourite family member. So for me this is one of the most horrifying and unthinkable crime stories I have ever read.

What was the motivation? How this Karla lives with herself, much less with a family of her own in the rest of society, I don’t know and can’t understand. Monstrous is far too kind a term.
