Only made three movies. Walked away from Disney after doing a movie for them and did an ABC TV movie with with Robert Mitchum who described him as a powerful young actor during an interview.
He got Lord Of The Flies and became friends with Balthazar Getty and Hollywood was banging on his door and yet he packed it in and never made another movie.

The Disney movie was a story about school kids stranded on an island and Disney wanted to make it a regular TV show and he walked away.
He did the TV movie with Mitchum and ABC made it a weekly sitcom and he walked away from that after getting LOTF.
During an interview after LOTF came out he said his manager received "a pile of scripts" and he was having to read through them.
And then nothing.
One reviewer compared him to River Phoenix, so I guess getting out when he did saved his life.
