So ALT died as he lived, a sponging grifter... Diane VF won't say how she prevented his being evicted, but only logical way was she ponied up money, that would explain how entire matter was suddenly settled with details sealed. Then in ultimate irony ALT ups and dies.....

Really R3? Andre Leon Talley a grifter? He was a very cultured gentlemen who worked in an industry where very few Black people are successful. He was close friends with many of the greats, including Karl Lagerfeld who was one of his closest friends (if such a thing exists). He was never going to be at the top of anything because of his race, so he had to fight for every damn thing he got. There are accounts that Anna Wintour turned to him at her most vulverable times, yet when all was said and done, she threw him aside when he was no longer useful to hiler. Even Lagerfeld, a miserable human being, stopped speaking to him after nearly 40 years of friendship. To be that close to these two people alone, who don't suffer fools very well, does not speak to him as ever having been a grifter.

That's all very well, but ALT certainly couldn't pay his bills could he? Always looking for a touch or someone to bail him out financially. That's how the whole sad tale of woe and misery over his so called "home" came to pass.
