What a depressing movie! The happy ending seems like a tacked on cop-out, but that's Hollywood. Great cinematography however and this is prime Tom Cruise beefcake. The scene of him trying to finger Lea Thompson is kind of hot.

The title track by soundtrack queen Jennifer Warnes (and some dude) is actually pretty good. So much better than the Norma Rae song that inexplicably won an Oscar.
