Actors who aged well without (much?) surgery.
Ava Lawson
I'm thinking of Gregory Peck, Myrna Loy, Pierce Brosnan, Kim Basinger. Any others?

Catherine Deneuve, now and forever.

Deneuve? You kidding! I've seen her up close when she came up to a friend of hers I was talking to. I barely recognized her.

Paul Rudd, Rob Lowe, Brad Pitt

Catherine Deneuve rumoredly had a net of golden threads installed under her skin decades ago to keep her face from sagging. It was and possibly still is a somewhat normal procedure in plastic surgery. I'd call that a major surgery although I assume it's a relatively clean operation compared to a full-on face lift.

Actors named should be men. Why did we generally stop using the word actress?
| by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 11, 2020 4:22 AM |
Because the fact that an actress is a woman makes the word automatically derogatory.
Much like other words which are so humiliating such as diva, goddess, lioness, princess, mother, bride, wife...

What word does the Oscars use?

Actors refers to either sex.
Get your head out of the 1950s and, incidentally, your ass.

Rudd is the type of male star who has had meticulous dermatology and tiny work done on his face regularly for decades.

When spoken of individually a male is an actor and a woman is an actress. Collectively they are actors.
However today actress is a demeaning term. Why? Because it denotes second class status. Because a woman is ipso facto second class. Nothing to be proud of.
Scratch an actor and underneath is an actress.

Makes sense but that is not how it is used. Individual actresses are called actors all the time.

Someone needs to tell Mark Strong that people are supposed to become LESS fuckable as they get older.

Today they are called actors ALL the time. Years ago they were individually called actresses until it became a dirty word.
Which is why it is called the best actress Oscar. Though it might have changed to best performance by a female but I have no idea. Trans people will have to sort out all these gender applications.

Paul Rudd, Pitt, and and Rob Lowe have all had extensive work done yet it is done literally microscopically. Incredible work and I wouldn’t doubt that it may be the same surgeon . They each have a mini lower facelift/neck lift. But good genes help. All look gorgeous but were gorgeous to start.

Marisa Tomei - minimal amount of work and tasteful useful use of botox/fillers.
